The Corvette Club of Richmond has once again been asked to provide forty three (43) CONVERTIBLE Corvettes and drivers to serve as the driver introduction lap vehicles for the Crown Royal presents the Heath Colhoun 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race at Richmond International Raceway scheduled for Saturday, May 1, 2010.  We will be looking for at least 50 convertibles (43 and 7 backups) from the CCR ranks (you MUST be an active, paid CCR member as of April 1, 2010 to qualify), selection will be done on a first come first serve basis.

In return for the use of the vehicles, Richmond International Raceway will provide a car corral on the midway of the facility for you to showcase your vehicles to the thousands of race fans on the grounds prior to the race.  We will require that you be positioned in the car corral starting at 10:00 am but no later than 2:30pm on Saturday, May 1, 2010.  Prior to the race the vehicles will be paraded into the infield and positioned on the racetrack in formation to pick up the drivers after they are introduced.  The vehicles will take one (1) lap at slow speeds and enter pit road at Turn 4, drop the driver off at his racecar and proceed back to the car corral area from where we started.  RIR will issue grandstand reserved seats for each driver and one guess to watch the race.  This schedule and responsibilities are all tentative based on weather conditions and NASCAR approval.

Each driver/car will be issued a vehicle permit to access the grounds through the Service Gate, off Richmond-Henrico Turnpike, and credentials to get the vehicle through the vehicle tunnel to the infield.  We ask that there be only one person in the vehicle.

DRY RUN ON APRIL 15TH.  MEET AT RIR BETWEEN 4:30 - 5:00 pm AT THE TICKET OFFICE AREA.
